In addition to licensure as a Clinical Professional Counselor by the State of Idaho, John Condron is certified by National Board of Certified Counselors as a National Certified Counselor and Master Addictions Counselor.

He is approved as a Clinical Supervisor by the Idaho Bureau of Occupational Licenses, and is registered by the Idaho Board of Alcohol/Drug Counselor Certification (IBADCC) as a supervisor for Idaho Students of Addiction Studies, Certified Alcohol/Drug Counselors, and Advanced Certified Alcohol/Drug Counselors.

He has specialized training in the treatment of substance use disorders, as well as process addictions, such as gambling, sex, pornography and Internet addictions.

Problematic Sexual Behavior

John has specific training in the treatment of sex and pornography addiction from the International Trauma Training Institute, but he is a skeptic regarding the sex addiction treatment industry.  Though he believes it is possible for a person to become addicted to sex or to pornography, he finds this to be exceedingly rare.  A Holistic Sex Therapist, he prefers to start with the concept of “problematic sexual behavior” rather than assuming “addiction.” In his experience, this has been a much more productive approach to changing unwanted sexual behaviors.
